Remote Access VPN
Access your POS dashboard from anywhere using a secure WireGuard VPN tunnel. Monitor sales, manage menus, and troubleshoot issues without being on-site.
How It Works
When you enable the Remote Access add-on, a secure WireGuard VPN tunnel is created between your POS server and the Moneta Pay network. You can then access your POS dashboard from any device — phone, laptop, or tablet.
The tunnel is:
- Encrypted end-to-end with WireGuard
- Always-on with automatic reconnection
- Isolated — your traffic is separated from other customers
Setup
Remote access is provisioned automatically during the Setup Wizard:
- The setup wizard registers your server with the Moneta Pay VPN hub
- A WireGuard configuration is generated and applied
- Your server gets a private IP address (e.g.,
10.100.0.x) - DNS is configured so you can access your dashboard via a friendly URL
After setup, your dashboard is accessible at:

Once the VPN is active, you can access your POS dashboard from any authorized device.
Adding Devices
From Admin > Remote Access in the dashboard:
- Click Add Device and enter a label (e.g., "Owner's Phone", "Auditor Laptop")
- A WireGuard configuration and QR code are generated
- Scan the QR code with the WireGuard app on your phone or laptop
- The device is now connected to your private network
Each device gets its own private IP address and can access the dashboard and POS API through the VPN tunnel.
Device Limits
The number of devices you can connect depends on your license. The Enterprise plan includes up to 30 devices.
