Track order cancellations — every void is logged with who, when, why, and who approved it.

Overview

The Voids Report provides full accountability for cancelled orders. Every void in the system goes through a two-step approval process and is recorded with a complete audit trail.

Use this page to:

• Monitor void frequency and value
• Identify patterns in void reasons
• Check which staff members propose and approve voids
• Investigate unusually high void activity

What You'll See

Summary Cards

Card	What It Shows
Total Voids	Number of voids and total value
Confirmed	Approved voids with value
Pending	Voids awaiting manager approval
Avg Void Value	Average amount per void

Voids by Reason

Horizontal bars showing the breakdown by void reason, with count, percentage, and total value. Common reasons include:

• Customer Changed Order — customer requested a change after the order was placed
• Waiter Error — wrong item entered
• Customer Walkout — customer left without paying

A high percentage of "Waiter Error" voids may indicate a need for additional training.

Voids by Staff

Toggle between two views:

• Proposers — which staff members requested the voids
• Approvers — which managers authorized them

Each view shows the staff name, void count, and total value. This dual view prevents collusion — you can spot if the same person is both proposing and approving voids.

Recent Voids

A detailed log of each void with full audit trail:

Time	When the void was processed
Receipt	Original receipt number
Amount	Voided amount
Reason	Why the order was voided
Waiter	The waiter who took the original order
Proposed By	Staff member who requested the void
Approved By	Manager who authorized it
Status	Confirmed (green) or Pending (orange)

Void Approval Workflow

Voids require a two-step process: a staff member proposes the void, and a manager approves it. This prevents unauthorized cancellations and ensures every void has accountability.
